In-Depth Information
The stairwell of the McRaven house combines
complementary textures of log, stone, and planed
and rough timbers. The treads are of three-inch-
thick heart pine recycled from an old Lynchburg,
Virginia, cotton mill.
The huge logs used in building this house
feel substantial and rightly dominate the
aesthetics of the interior.
