In-Depth Information
another case on the contrary, in which RFID tag information comes in continuously
but the aged just come and go without doing any specific thing. For this, in this study,
each case is classified into three cases of 1.1, 1.2, and 2.
As it is required to ratiocinate loneliness with information and time of RFID tag
collected reading through RFID Reader per each case but as it is difficult to make
precise judgment with only these two kinds of information, Time Constraint was
added to each object additionally. Time Constraint is a tribute to find out time using
Object. If Object with Time Constraint of 60 seconds was used (contacted) in less
time of 60 seconds, it is considered as the aged did meaningless behavior instead of
doing meaningful things since it was just a simple passing through or a brief use. On
the contrary, if it was used or being used for a longer time than 60 seconds, it is
considered as they did something with that Object or as a meaningful work. Through
this way, it can be judged whether they do or do not do anything with RFID tag
information. For example, if RFID tag information of telephone set comes in for 20
seconds, it can be considered that they used the telephone set for approximately 20
seconds and generally, this time can be considered not as telephone calls but as simple
touch of telephone set and therefore, it is considered as doing nothing or any
meaningful thing. However, if they used telephone set for more than 2 minutes, this
can be considered as telephone calls with somebody and it is considered as a
meaningful event of telephone calls.
It is also necessary to have Time Constraint that can express facts of using Object
for too long in addition to Time Constraint for minimum time of using Object. If one
uses that Object for too long time even though Time Constraint for minimum time is
fulfilled, it may consider it as lonely situation. For example, in a case when one sits
on a chair for more than one hour, it satisfies Time Constraint of minimum time using
Object explained in the above but it is a longer sitting time than usual. As this can be
considered as just sitting there without doing any meaningful thing, Time Constraint
for maximum time using some Object without being lonely is necessary.
To confirm whether Time Constraint is satisfied, it is necessary to know how long
one has used a specific Object. To make judgment of these conditions, it is necessary
to obtain Duration. Duration is classified into the following methods.
If RFID tag is sensed in RFID Reader, information of ID of RFID tag, sensed time,
and user having RFID Reader are inserted into one Queue. If there is no data sensed
presently, Duration is set as 0 and if there are sensed data, information of RFID tag
that came into Queue presently and value of RFID tag previously came in shall be
compared. If value of RFID tag detected before and value of RFID tag detected
presently are not the same, it is considered as using other Object and after calculating
Duration of using the Object up to now and set Duration of a new Object as 0 again.
On the contrary, if values of RFID tag detected before and value of RFID tag detected
presently are the same, Duration will be calculated by adding previous Duration and
present Duration because the same Object is used continuously.
4.1 Case 1.1
Case 1.1 is the definition of a case in which RFID Reader does not detect any
information of RFID tag because there is no movement at all. For example, let's
presume a case in which the aged stands up from a sofa and moves to the center of a
