we defined. The matching between the template and samples from the same
person is defined as genuine matching; otherwise, it is classified as impostor
matching. Totally, about 129,600 (360
360) matching have been performed,
where 3,600 matching are genuine matching. Fig.6 shows the distribution of
genuine and impostor matching scores. From the fig.6, it is easily found that peak
of genuine is at about matching score 0.12, where the matching score is obtained
by normalization of QEPD between template sample and tester one. Likewise,
the peak of imposter is approached 0.36. The two peaks can be separated widely,
hence the scheme effectively discriminate finger texture images.
