In-Depth Information
We're not sure what kind of shark it was, other than a very big one;
it was definitely not one of our familiar, slender blue sharks. The most
likely shark that fits Kym's brief description would be the great white
( Carcharodon carcharias ) or possibly a dusky ( Carcharhinus obscurus ),
but for some reason he didn't stick around long enough to make a pos-
itive identification, as a truly dedicated ichthyologist should. After that
incident, in any case, we thought it prudent to move to a spot far, far
away to continue our collecting.
