Chatuchak Weekend Market
Imagine all of Bangkok's markets fused together in a seem-
ingly never-ending commerce-themed barrio. Add a little
artistic flair, a sauna-like climate and bargaining crowds
and you've got a rough sketch of Chatuchak (also spelled
'Jatujak' or nicknamed 'JJ'), allegedly one of the world's
largest markets. Everything is sold here, from live snakes
to mŏr lam (Thai folk music) CDs, but the deeper you go, the clearer it becomes that
Chatuchak is less about shopping and more about a unique Bangkok experience.
