This snake farm, one of only a few worldwide, was established in 1923 to breed snakes
for antivenins. There's a small museum dedicated to snakes, while venom is collected dur-
ing daily milkings (11am Monday to Friday), and daily snake-handling performances
(2.30pm Monday to Friday, 11am Saturday and Sunday) are held at the outdoor amphi-

in every sense of the word, from the multihued main temple to the eclectic range of people
