SHOPPING CENTRE
This immense shopping mall is quickly becoming one of Bangkok's top attractions.
Swedish and other foreign languages can be heard as much as Thai, and on any given
weekend half of Bangkok can be found here combing through an inexhaustible range of
stalls and shops stocking mobile phones, accessories, shoes, camera equipment, handbags
and T-shirts.

Siam Square
Siam Square is ground zero for teenage culture in Bangkok. Pop music blares out of tinny
speakers, and gangs of hipsters in various costumes ricochet between fast-food restaurants
and closet-sized boutiques. Several shops peddle pop-hip styles along Soi 2 and Soi 3, but
most outfits require a 'barely there' waist.

Siam Paragon
SHOPPING CENTRE
Paragon epitomises the city's fanaticism for the new, the excessive, and absurd slogans. In
addition to the usual high-end brands, you'll find a buzzing basement-level food court; the
3rd floor Kinokuniya, Bangkok's best-stocked bookshop; and on the same floor, the True
Urban Park 'lifestyle centre', featuring a cafe, internet access and a shop selling books, mu-
sic and camera equipment.
