Multistorey malls, department stores, open-air shopping precincts and seemingly
never-ending markets leave no doubt that Siam Square, Pratunam and Ploenchit
combine to form Bangkok's commercial district. The BTS (Skytrain) interchange
at Siam has also made this area the de facto centre of today's Bangkok, so you'll
probably find yourself here for touristing and dining as well as shopping.
