Processes of the cognitive analysis of data are based on data categorisation,
which can be split into two fundamentally different categorisation methods: se-
mantic categorisation and syntactic categorisation.
2.3 Semantic Analysis
In semantic analysis processes, a major role is played by processes modelled on
human cognitive/decision-making processes, particularly those consisting in the
description, analysis and interpretation of the meaning contained in analysed data
sets. These processes are inseparably associated with cognitive analysis, during
which a significant role is played by semantic analysis stages.
