Apart from Wang's work illustrating the use of cognitive methods based on
mathematic formalisms in computer science, work is also conducted to use cogni-
tive subjects for the computer analysis of data. This type of application of cogni-
tive structures largely leads to the structural and semantic analysis of data under
consideration. Structural analysis is based on applying cognitive methods to the
information about the structure, the form and the shape of the analyzed object. On
the other hand, semantic analysis uses the information contained within the data:
the semantic information (meaning).
1.2 Cognitive Methods Dedicated to Research and Practice
Cognitive methods and solutions are important in computer science work, as com-
puter science has become a scientific discipline in which cognitive science is cur-
rently blossoming. It is found at almost every stage of the development and the
practical implementation of new solutions, which include:
