to a given model, as every container is of a distinctive colour, while the objects
recognised, although they are of the given colour, have various colour intensities.
In addition, during the recognition analysis conducted by Simon, the robot's ears
shine the recognised colour, which additionally allows an observer of the robot to
assess that the colour recognition it has conducted is right (Figure 7.4).

The Toyota robot playing a musical instrument presented in 2005 by the Toyota
Motor Corporation (TMC) in walking and driving versions [195].
The first version of the robot moves in the traditional way, by walking, and can
play a trumpet of beautifully tone. The robot's arm and leg movements are precise
and efficient. The second version of the Toyota robot moves using a wheeled
mechanism and just as the walking Toyota plays beautiful notes on its trumpet.
They make gestures (e.g. raising the hand, waving) and movements (e.g. of the
trumpet, movements of the robot's 'body') while recognising the action they are to
perform (e.g. playing the work of music). Because the bodies of these robots have
been fully clad, they look very nice, unlike the majority of robots of this type
whose 'bodies' are incomplete (Figure 7.5.)

Another solution from this group of musical robots plays the violin. It can per-
form the same functions as the trumpet-playing Toyota (Figure 7.6).
