with cells that can be filled with compost but others
are hydroponic systems. These green walls can be
purchased as kits for the domestic garden usually
in the form of panels that can be linked to cover the
area required. Interior green walls are supplied with
appropriate lighting (Figure 15.10) and there are major
installations on large buildings (Figure 15.11).
The plants can be grown from plugs or seed. Plants
are selected from a wide range of decorative plants
appropriate for the situation (sunny sites, shady/
