In-Depth Information
An heterogeneous data integration tool (HDIM
prototype) and procedures of incremental main-
tenance are under development. We plan now to
compare our measure on different DBMS (Oracle,
DB2 and SqlServer) (see Figure 9).

données issus de sources hétérogènes . PhD thesis,

In this work, we propose a formal framework
which treats integration of heterogeneous data
sources from various categories. This approach
is based on the definition of an integration envi-
ronment . This last is seen as a set of data sources
associated with a set of “ integration relationships
between the sources components.
The originality of our work, contrary to various
works on integration, lies in the fact of covering
the integration of all the categories of data con-
sidered at the same time and in the proposition
of a theoretical approach of the data integration.
Our approach is general and is applicable to any
type of integration. For instance, it is possible to
duplicate databases or to create several versions
of one or many databases at the same time. We
propose to implement a heterogeneous DW in two
possible physical architectures.We give method
to rewrite computing aggregates functions for
incremental maintenance of MV.
