In-Depth Information
Great place to chill out and picnic especially during the warmer season
Reserve half a day for a visit of the Palace and the Gardens or preferable the whole
day to see the whole Area (including the Trianon Palaces and Marie-Antoinette's
Estate).
Versailles is easy and cheap to reach bythe RER train line C that terminates directly
in Versailles.
Take an audio Guide to understand the history of this palace; it's well worth it!
Don't forget it is CLOSED ON SUNDAYS!
Wear comfortable shoes as you will walk a lot.
The queues for the palace grow quickly after 8:30, so best is to show up around
8:00am or in the afternoon. If the queues are already too long (they can get several
hundred meters long...) then go for the gardens, Le Trianon and Marie Antoinette's
farm first, before returning to the palace after 1pm when the queues are usually way
shorter
Best to purchase your tickets in advance or you will have to line up two times (one
for the ticket and on for the entrance). Check their official Web Site
