The Grand Trianon Palace
Marie-Antoinette's estate is a rustic retreat in the park, built for Marie Antoinette in 1783
to serve as a private meeting place for the Queen and her closest friends. It contained a
meadowland with lakes and streams, a classical Temple of Love, and a belvedere with a
neighboring grotto and cascade. On top of that you will find various buildings in a rustic
or vernacular style, situated around an irregular pond fed by a stream that turned the mill
wheel.
