In-Depth Information
The earlier you go, the less tourists and scammers will distract you from the real beauty of
this place.
How to get there:
The closest Metro station to Sacre Coeur is “Anvers” Line 2.
Go as early as possible! It will be completely overcrowded during the day.
An audio-guide tour in 4 stages (French and English) is accessible to smartphone
users. Just flash the code at the entrance.
The walk up is steep; you might prefer taking the funicular on a hot day or if your
fitness is not as it was used to be.
It is a fantastic vantage point overlooking the whole of Paris on a clear day. Don't
forget to take some pictures.
A good opportunity to buy some souvenirs as there are many cheap gift/touristic
stores along the narrow street climbing to the top.
Reserve some time to explore the Montmartre area around the Basilica as it is a
unique neighborhood with many small shops, reasonably priced restaurants and art
