Top 30 Attraction 24 Sacré-Coeur MUST SEE
You can't do a trip to Paris without visiting Sacré Cœur. Some believe that the views of the
city are the best from this area.
Sacré-Coeur, meaning Sacred Heart, with its spectacular white outline, is one of the most
photographed landmarks of Paris. It took 46 years to build and was finally completed in
1923. It stands on the hill of Montmartre district and therefore offers spectacular views of
Paris. Montmartre is the artistic neighborhood of Paris with a lot of artists, poets and writers
living in this neighborhood. The Salvador Dali museum on Rue Poublot 11 gives you a
strong insight into the life and work of one of the most famous of these artists.

day for the souls of the dead.
The inside of Sacré-Coeur might disappoint you a bit since there are more impressive interi-
ors in other churches across Paris, but its wonderful position and the white outside never fail
to impress.
