Plan enough time to linger around and learn a little of French history
Enjoy extensive views over Paris from the external colonnade of the dome. You can
see literally almost all of Paris. Access to the dome however is restricted to certain
number of people at a time.
On the downside: 90% of the plaques are written solely in French which makes it
difficult for English speaking tourists to fully understand the history behind what
they see.
