We recommend you buy your tickets online (especially for a visit on a weekend or
during the summer holidays) to avoid waiting some hours in a line. Be aware that
tickets can NOT be picked up at the Louvre museum but instead at the stores listed
on the Website:
http://www.louvre.fr/en/advance-tickets
There is usually a small fee of a couple of euros per ticket for this “Express Ticket”
service but if you can bypass directly to the entrance…it is well worth those couple
of extra Euros!

It can get extremely crowded, resulting in multiple hours waiting time on weekends

If you're planning on visiting the Louvre you may as well visit the nearby Pont des
Arts, Île de la Cité and the Cathedral of Notre Dame
