ROAF: Real Object
Application Framework
The mission of this topic has been accomplished, but the vision goes way
beyond the specific application.
The current status of the roaf framework (library) and the source
code and resources for the London Chase game are available on the ROAF
developer website at www.roaf.de as a basic architecture. The software
predefines a structure for more and more complex components to support
the functionality of a real-world simulation.
In order to streamline further developments, this nal part of the topic
will revisit the vision and provide semantic guidelines for developers to
ensure a constructive collaboration even with highly deviating ROApps for
many different scenarios.
The mission of the topic was to get an understanding of the new system
and supply a running sample application. At the end of this development
process, the architect has gathered enough knowledge to provide a white
paper for the actual roll out of the product.
One of the main purposes of the real-object application framework is
to harmonize, synchronize, and overlay different ROApps on a higher level.
At the same time, the ROs should become more independent of a ROApp
and be able to wander from one ROApp to another|inside the ROAF.
