12.4.5 Aggregation
At the process steps in manufacturing where the same material is needed for differ-
ent line items, consolidation of these materials for different orders can be done.
Likewise software test project parts can be consolidated (see Figures 12.12
and 12.13) .
12.4.6 Pegging
Each project is broken down into individual tasks. These tasks are assigned to
resources belonging to different CoEs. The CoEs may group tasks belonging to
different projects so that it may not be possible for an outsider to know exactly
which task is being processed currently and which tasks belongs to which proj-
ect. If these tasks are pegged to the project, then it will be possible for anybody
to know to which project the tasks being processed belong (see Figures 12.14
and 12.15).
