iterations for product development.
11.6.9 Benefits of New Model
Benefits of the new model include increase in productivity and quality, reduction in costs
and schedules, and ability to provide a platform for consolidation of many projects.
11.6.9.1 Productivity
Model features that help in improving productivity include round-the-clock (different
time zones help here) testing model leading to reduction in test cycle time; automated
regression testing, which reduces regression testing cycle time; quick ramp-up and
ramp-down of resources, which increases resource flexibility; perfectly synchronized
on-site/offshore setup; one-stop shop for providing dedicated resources for various
Central Quality Group technology needs; and skilled automation resources.
11.6.9. 2 Quality
Model features that help in improving quality include assurance of business require-
ments; proven and unique methodology for testing; usage of automation tools; con-
tinuous process improvements; high test case coverage; and SEI-CMMI Level 5
certified processes.
