In March 2011, a concern was raised that some of the Furadan in circulation on the market was in
fact a counterfeit product. This allegation (based on a chemical analysis of one sample) is currently
being investigated by stakeholders in Africa and in North America. FMC has also taken an active
interest in the matter.
