There are also day trips out of Dublin that visitors can enjoy. Newgrange is a 5,000 year
old burial tomb which can offer a truly unique experience. Glendalough is a monastic site
located in a stunning valley near a lake. Both of these sites are UNESCO protected struc-
tures and can be reached by bus from the city center.
