Travel down memory lane as you explore Ireland's most prestigious university. Trinity Col-
lege has always been recognized for academic excellence and transformative student ex-
periences for many years. During the early years, the majority of the students who atten-
ded this institution were predominantly rich, Protestant males but times have changed since
then, and in recent years, the majority of the student populace are now female Catholics.
It is a masterpiece of architecture with beautifully laid out landscaping in Georgian aspic.
Walk though the cobbled stone pathways which will bring you back to 18th century setting.
Inside the Old Library building, guests can marvel at the “Turning Darkness into Light”
exhibition, then head to the Treasury where the Book of Kells can be found. This lavishly
decorated treasure is an illuminated 9th century manuscript Gospel book in Latin, contain-
ing the four Gospels of the New Testament. After this, you may then proceed upstairs to
the Long Room which houses 200,000 of the Library's oldest books in its oak staircases.
This library is known to have one of the best and largest collections in the world. You can
also find here a rare original edition of the proclamation of the Independent Irish Republic
