In-Depth Information
Because workload statistics are not available for “other operations”
(o5), in this study we assume that its average annual working hours of unit
machinery t o5 is constant. That constant is determined from the following
equation:
(3)
wherein C s, y indicates the diesel consumption statistics in year y .
7.2.4 DISTRIBUTION MODULE
The mechanization of agriculture is a process of replacing human and ani-
mal with agricultural machinery powered by either diesel or electricity.
The rated power is an important factor affecting the device performance
of agricultural machinery. The rated power of the agricultural machinery is
negatively correlated with its unit consumption (or motor efficiency) and
is positively correlated with its unit productivity.
Smaller agricultural machinery are more widely used than larger equip-
ment in China due to reasons such as the high cost of larger machinery and
the small amount of arable land per capita. It is assumed that the change in
the number l i,m,y of agricultural machinery (except tractors) with the repre-
sentative power p i,m,y of the interval i follows an exponential distribution as
shown in Figure 2(a). The equation is expressed below:
l i,my = a m,y x e b,m,y x pi,m,y (4)
wherein m indicates machinery category mentioned in the Distribu-
tion Module (m = m3,m4,...,m15 ); a m,y and b m,y are the undetermined
parameters.
