From the tetrahedral mesh of the prism shown in Figure 8.132d, 24 hexahedral elements
are recovered, 28 pyramid elements are created at the interfaces and 292 tetrahedral ele-
ments remain in the mesh, as shown in Figure 8.136. From the tetrahedral mesh of the
board shown in Figure 8.132g, 128 hexahedral elements are recovered, 69 pyramid elements
are created at the interfaces and 560 tetrahedral elements remain in the mesh, as shown in
Figure 8.137. The merged finite element mesh of hexahedral, tetrahedral and pyramid ele-
ments of the prism and the board is shown in Figure 8.138.
