point P are also suggested to allow for a progressive change in the element size. In case of a
rapid change in the element size and shape, more strategic locations have to be checked. As
shown in Figure 5.78, points at the normal to the three integration points can sometimes
produce promising results. The area co-ordinates of the integration points are, respectively,
(3/5,1/5,1/5), (1/5,3/5,1/5) and (1/5,1/5,3/5).
5.6.2 Example
The Delaunay-ADF meshing of the object shown in Figure 5.72 is taken as an example.
Sections 5.6.1.4 and 5.6.1.5 are applied repeatedly to zone 0 tetrahedral elements within
the boundary surface as shown in Figure 5.73. By always taking the last frontal triangle
for MG, an intermediate stage after generating 2500 elements is shown in Figure 5.79. It
