Shanghai Urban Planning
Exhibition Hall
MUSEUM
Some cities romanticise their past, others promise good times in the present, but only in
China are you expected to visit places that haven't even been built yet. The 3rd floor fea-
tures Shanghai's idealised future, with an incredible model layout of the megalopolis-to-
come plus a dizzying Virtual World 3-D wrap-around tour complete with celebratory fire-
works.

Rockbund Art Museum
MUSEUM
Housed in the former Royal Asiatic Society building (1933), this private museum behind
the Bund focuses on contemporary Chinese art, with rotating exhibits year-round. Opened
in 2010 to mark the opening of the Rockbund (North Bund) renovation project, the mu-
seum has since become one of the city's top modern-art venues.

Shanghai Museum of
Contemporary Art (MOCA Shanghai)
With its all-glass construction squeezing every last photon from Shanghai's murky sun-

tional artwork to the city.
