When to Go
Winter (Dec-Feb) Cold and clammy. Chinese New Year comes in with a bang in January
or February.
Spring (Mar-May) Temperatures start to rise. Late April and May are pleasant, but

Summer (Jun-Aug) Rainfall in Shanghai hits its peak in June, just as the sweltering
summer heat arrives.
Autumn (Sep-Nov) This is one of the best times to visit, as temperatures drop from sum-
mer highs.
