Propaganda Poster Art Centre

With the Cultural Revolution still a no-go zone for aspiring intellectuals and journalists,
Shanghai distils the cream of its Communist propaganda at this fascinating basement mu-
seum and shop, where 3000 posters from Mao's heyday broadcast their unwavering mes-
sage of utopian bliss. Look out for the big character posters

CY Tung Maritime Museum
This small museum explores the little-known world of Chinese maritime history, with mod-
el ships, maps of early trade routes and exhibits on the legendary Chinese Muslim seafarer
