Getting There
Metro
The western half of the French Concession is served by lines 1, 7 and 10. Line 10 follows Huaihai Rd
east-west. Line 1 also follows Huaihai Rd east-west before veering southwest to follow Hengshan Rd. Line 7
connects the French Concession with Jing'an to the north, meeting up with line 1 at the Changshu Rd station.
The Sights in a Day
Like the eastern half of the French Concession, the west is a late sleeper, so
there's no need to get an early start to the day. Two sights that are open in the
morning include the

jazzy decor and su-
perb cuisine might give it the edge if you're feeling romantic. This part of town is where
the night owls congregate, so regardless of what comes next, you're in the right place to
kick off the evening.
