5.3 Learner: Play Instinct, Curiosity, Experimental Skills
A special relevance belongs to the experiment in chemistry classes for young
students: due to play instinct and curiosity, high receptiveness for experiments
can be expected. Easy phenomena and measurements of density, solubility, melt-
ing, and boiling temperatures of substances are most welcome among young
students and recommended for student experiments. Often very interested students
already have a chemistry set (see Chap. 4) and know a lot of simple experiments:
these students especially stand out, because of their knowledge and experimental
skills. The following aspects have to be reflected for the learner.
