Brug means 'bridge' and that's where this atmospheric little venue resides: under the
Torensluis, Amsterdam's oldest bridge. The makeshift, brick-walled cellar hosts exhibi-
tions, film screenings and especially avant-garde jazz concerts; check the website for the
schedule. Reach it by heading down the stairs by the bridge, opposite Singel 157 or 161.
