MEMORIAL
After 1942 this theatre became a detention centre for Jews awaiting deportation. Up to
80,000 people passed through on their way to the death camps. Glass panels show the
names of the deported, and upstairs a modest exhibit hall displays photos and artefacts
from the period; look for the heartbreaking tale of Bram and Eva Beem.
