One of Amsterdam's 'it' clubs, Air has an environmentally friendly design and a unique
tiered dance floor. Nice touches include free mini lockers and refillable drink cards that
preclude fussing with change at the bar. Though the place gets packed, it has ultrahigh
ceilings and it feels like there's still plenty of room to get funky. Cover charges average
between €9 and €15.

Door 74
The drinks poured in here are far and away Amsterdam's best cocktails, served in an eleg-
ant but unpretentious atmosphere, behind an unmarked door. Mixologists shake up con-
coctions like the Peanut Butter and Jelly (bourbon and raspberry syrup) and Hopscotch to
Holland (

, citrus and herbs). For entry, you must call or send a text message to re-
serve seats.

Studio 80
CLUB
It's all about the (electronic) music at this raw space, which functions as much as a studio
and radio station as a club. Bespectacled hipsters, glittering fashionistas and androgynous
arty types mix it up on the dimly lit dance floor. Cheapish entry (usually between €6 to
€16) guarantees a young crowd.

A lovely cafe along the Amstel river near Rembrandtplein, Café Langereis feels like it has
