De Pieper
BROWN CAFE
Considered by many to be the king of the brown cafes, De Pieper is small, unassuming and
unmistakably old (built in 1665). The interior features stained-glass windows, fresh sand on
the floors and antique Delft beer mugs hanging from the bar. It's a sweet place for sipping a
late-night Wieckse Witte as you marvel at the claustrophobia of the low-ceilinged environs.
