Chapter 7
Partitions
This chapter deals with all kinds of
fixed partitions, whether of heavy
construction (such as of masonry) or
light (for example stud and
plasterboard); relocatable or
moveable. In essence, therefore, the
chapter deals with internal walls
which have no separating or
compartmenting function. They may
be of similar construction to
separating or compartment walls,
and, insofar as that is the case, the
information in Chapter 6.1 is not
repeated. They may also, of course,
be very different from those
described in earlier chapters
(Figure 7.1).
