(FigureĀ  14.38). These domestic Peruvian images look remarkably like those from
earlier times in the Iraqi marshlands in Ochsenschlager (2004) and France (2007).
From inside the few huts with solar panels, one can hear the din of the typically over-
the-top Spanish soap operas, making for the most incongruous of visits. And just as
in photos from the Iraqi marshlands (e.g., Wheeler in Young 1977), visitors observe
