Natural breathable finishes such as lime plasters have been used for centur-
ies, and are now experiencing a revival.
The main constituent of binders used for hempcrete is building lime: a product
made from naturally occurring and plentiful sources of calcium carbonate, it has
been used as a building material throughout history.
