One of Beijing's longer-standing bars, and one of the first to become popular with both
locals and foreigners, Q Bar remains a very amenable spot in which to sample a libation
or three. In the summer, there's a useful roof terrace to decamp to. Look for the big 'Q'
hanging off the side of the Eastern Inn Hotel to guide you there.

Bookworm
CAFE
A combination of cafe, bar and lending library, the Bookworm is now a Beijing institu-
tion. It's the place to hear visiting authors talk, hunker down over the laptop, browse the
