In-Depth Information
This document does not describe output options available to the Microsoft Exchange Server. SAS
documentation indicates that with the Microsoft Exchange Server, Excel 2000, 2003, and 2007 can be
output. (Excel 2007, Excel 2010, and Excel 2013 use the same output format). Enterprise Guide 5.1 for 64-
bit SAS has the ability to write to the *.xlsx files along with some text formats that Excel can read. It
worked with Excel 2013. The exact list of output file formats available will depend upon the number and
type of SAS/ACCESS routines you have installed.
Four other output formats (shown in Figure 5.2) can be chosen instead of the *.xls or *.xlsx format. These
options create text files, but Microsoft Excel is able to process these file formats and create an Excel
workbook. These formats can also be input into Excel 2007, Excel 2010, or Excel 2013. They also can be
input into Excel using methods described in Chapter 2.

This is a list of other output file formats that Excel is able to read. Your system configuration may be able
to create other formats.
