1.3.4 Save Multiple Lines of Text in a Single Excel Cell
For this example we will place multiple lines of SAS code into a single Excel cell. Later in the topic we
will find that this will be useful because we can recall the information and use it to send the SAS code back
to a running SAS program. We will start by highlighting and copying the sample code that appears in
Section 1.3.3 after the first paragraph. We place it into Excel by selecting cell A1, then selecting the
formula entry field, and pasting the text into that field. The result is shown below after the formula entry
field and cell A1 are expanded to show the full contents. Figure 1.4.1a shows the Excel worksheet after this
is complete.
