8.3.1 How to Locate a Tagset Template
SAS menus are context driven menus, this means that the command line menus may change depending
upon your currently displayed screens. For instance in Figure 8.1 you have to have the “Results” window
displayed as the current window before the "View" option will display the menu listing “Tagsets” as the
first item. Then the selection of “Sashelp.Tmplmast”, “Tagsets”, and “ExcelXP” will display the
information in Figure 8.2. The production SAS 9.4 TS Level 1M1 version of the ExcelXP tagset template
simply defines the name and includes a separate tagset code module. The code in your ExcelXP tagset code
file may be different.

Figure 8.1 shows the path to locating the tagset production code modules, and Figure 8.2 shows the SAS
9.4 TS Level 1M1 contents. This tagset simply defines the ExcelXP name and includes (references) other
tagset instructions from the module “tagsets.ExcelBase”. The code module “tagsets.ExcelBase” has over
8,500 lines of code that define and implement all of the options and features of the ExcelXP tagset
template.
