The image shown in Figure 7.15 is the same image that was produced by the SAS Bar Chart Wizard. I
allowed the graph to have the default header and trailer and did not make any changes other than making
each column of data a different color. This was produced with SAS Enterprise Guide 6.1, SAS 9.4, and
Excel 2013. The first time I built this chart, I used Windows XP Pro operating system.

The header and footer may not have exactly the same format in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as is
available in SAS Enterprise Guide. With the proper profile connections, the graph can also be saved into
Microsoft Outlook. Now at this point, we have:
Used Example 5.3 to build a graph in SAS Enterprise Guide.
Exported a SAS bar chart (or any graph) to a SAS *.srx file.
Read the *.srx file into an Excel workbook.
An added bonus is that the graph in Excel has Active-X capabilities. Figure 7.17 shows the same data
changed to a pie chart using the features available in Excel to make those changes.
