Screen 3 of the Import Data task allows you to select or reject fields, and modify any of the attributes that
were found when the tool analyzed the input file. The check mark in the “Inc” column will include the
variable in the output file. As noted above, notice that Figure 5.14 does not have the checkbox “First row of
range contains field names” checked. The Import Data Wizard detected the absence of field names and
supplied the names F1, F2, F3, F4, and F5. When you highlight any row and press the “Modify” button,
Figure 5.16 will be displayed and you can make changes to the attributes of the variable. That will be left as
an exercise for you to play with. The original field names were “Subsidiary”, “Stores”, “Sales”,
“Inventory”, and “Returns”. Figure 5.16 shows the unchanged values.
