The Sights in a Day
Beat the queues by arriving at Dolmabahçe Palace ( Click here ) as soon as it
opens. After taking at least one of the guided tours, enjoy a tea at the waterside
çay bahçesi (tea garden) and then catch a bus or taxi to Ortaköy for lunch at the House
Cafe ( Click here ) or Zuma ( Click here ) .
Those who haven't yet reached Ottoman overload should head to Yıldız Park (
Click here ) to visit the chalet built by order of Sultan Abdül Hamit II. Others
can take a Bosphorus Tour ( Click here ) to Anadolu Hisarı and back, or enjoy a drink or
two on the glamorous pool terrace at the Çırağan Palace Kempinski Hotel ( Click here ) .
Sample some of the local seafood at Sıdıka ( Click here ) before making your
way to one of the clubs along the Golden Mile. If you're appropriately dressed
and don't mind sending a hefty tip the doorman's way, you'll soon be partying with the
glitterati against the illuminated backdrop of the monumental Bosphorus Bridge.
