külliye,
this charming outdoor
tea house is always full of students from the nearby theological college and İstanbul
University, who come here to sit on cushioned seats under trees and relax while watching
the pretty fountain play. It's one of the cheapest places in the area to enjoy a tea and nar-
gile.

This lovely cafe opposite the Byzantine Monastery of Christ Pantokrator has a dining space
filled with antique handicrafts as well as a garden terrace offering magnificent views of the
Golden Horn and Süleymaniye Mosque. Though the menu includes choices such as sand-
wiches and
köfte
(meatballs), we recommend coming here to enjoy the view over a coffee
or sunset aperitif.
