cally necessitate interoperable agents that can migrate from subsystem to subsys-
tem. Agents provide the necessary apparatus to manage such system complexity.
Our on-going research is seeking to install a myriad of challenged devices within
the real-world environment, which can host agents of varying form and complex-
ity in order to monitor and respond to the needs of the public moving through
that environment.
