Figure 10.7 shows a possible sequence of the operations where an SLA
proposal is created, modii ed, and agreed upon during the SLA negotia-
tion. In this case, we assume that the service client and the service provider
are located at different service access points. Figure 10.7 demonstrates how
the SLA copy management is realized by the SLA Manager over the SSP.
As shown in Figure 10.7, there would be multiple copies of SLA/proposals
in various stages of a simple client-initiated SLA negotiation.
1. The service client retrieves the SLA templates from the service
provider.
2. The service client creates an SLA proposal object (i.e., SLA proposal1)
according to an SLA template and caches it in its local memory.
3. The created SLA proposal1 is pushed from the client's local mem-
ory to the SAP1, the service access point at the client side.
